I chose the Swedish pop group A*Teens in the Girl Power category even though they are combined with two girls and two boys.
I choose this band because they make good covers of their songs originally performed by ABBA, and they turn them into more of a Europop sound. It still sounds good as it did back then. Their music fits more with technology because it has more of an edgy type upbeat feel than the songs ABBA originally performed.
I highly recommend listening these guys even if you haven't heard of them or never listened to any of their songs. A*Teens are a really a great band and most of their songs are very catchy. I'd rather listen to them than most of the music I hear on the radio now.

90's Music: I would put the R&B trio TLC into this category because they have had so many hits including the single, "No Scrubs." The technology were just simple instrumental beats.

House Influencers: Most of the music now is pretty much house music. BTS, the K-Pop boyband is one of them. Since most of the beats are upbeat and used with an electronic sound, they are using a they are the ones that have influenced other Kpop artists to come to the US with this sound including Blackpink, NCT 127. Their song, "Boy in Luv ft. Halsey" is an example. If any of you ARMY fans, this is for you. I'd rather listen to them than One Direction.

Latin World: Menudo would fit the Latin World. They were the first Latin boy band to conquer the United States in the 80's. They have had a couple of songs in Spanish, English, and Brazilian Portuguese. The band is originally from Puerto Rico. Some members are forced to leave due to reaching the age of sixteen and over so there was a rotation of new members. It was also the group singer Ricky Martin was in before he had his smash hit "Livin La Vida Loca" in 1999. Latin artists is still dominating the US now, since last year's single, "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee.

Punk:I chose ONE OK ROCK to be in the punk category. Though they are J-Rock (Japanese Rock), their music has an early punk rock sound that the older rock bands including Green Day, Simple Plan, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, etc, had back in the day. Most of the rock music I hear now isn't even rock at all, so I'm glad I listened to the J-Rock bands because they give you a feel the US doesn't have nowadays. They don't really use a lot of technology, but I consider them worth listening to. If you haven't heard of them before, I'd recommend listening to them. The leader singer's English is very good.
